Can i make auto-trading when i place the bet using excel?

Postby thonggruss » Mon Jan 29, 2007 1:47 am

Hi everyone,

i am new to this software, and i am able to place the bet by using excel automatically, however may i know how can i make the bet become auto-trading (ie when i back $2 @ 5, it will lay $2.2 @ 4.5 automatically)?

i ticked the trading mode.. but it seems like doesnt work together with the bet placed by excel,

hope everyone can share some comments.

thank you

Hi thonggruss

I'm not up to speed on Excel stuff or trading, but if i read this link right you do have an auto trade function on BA, i'm not sure if it works using excel though

Yes it is enbtirely possible.

You will need to write in some functions in the trigger cell, and probably resort to some visual basic worbook_change or Workbook_calculate events as well.

If you're not comfortable with those already I suggest you get familiar first, as incorrect programmation can be VERY costly...

have just try the tick offset method, it will only work if you place the bet manually but not through excel..

GaryRussell wrote:I think I have fixed this problem (version 0.99k). It was caused by some changes I made to make fill or kill work.
Please note that fill or kill and tick offset do not yet work in conjunction with Excel, but I will include this in the next release or so.

Hi

It seems Gary has plans to include the fill or kill and tick offset link with excel sometime in the future :D

Cheers

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
