Maximum Liability

Postby cundyno1 » Fri Oct 04, 2024 3:43 pm

Hi. How do i set my maximum liability? I thought i had it set so i couldnt lose above £40, However, ive just had an instance where ive lost £98, I lay in running and multi clicked. So my liability for 5 clicks was around £20 per click. In my mind how it was set out i shouldnt of been able to place the 3rd click? Thanks

Do you have "Per click" ticked next to liability? If so untick it so that it takes your total position into account. Also tick "included unmatched bets in liability" to prevent clicking in quick succession exceeding the liability.

Thanks for your reply. No didn’t have per click ticked. Just had the amount and the rest was unticked. So if I tick unmatched bets, I won’t be able to fire in now 3 or 4 laybets that take me over my desired liability unless my back bets are matched?

Maybe that didn’t make sense. I’m L2B in running. I have an offset of 150 ticks. So I fired in 3-4 bets at say 2.0, none of them got matched on the backside which gave me a higher liability than I thought I should have. Max Liability set at £40. How do I stop going over that if I multi click and back bets don’t get matched.

Sorry I am going to have to do an update as I think it can still be exceeded in your case. I will try and get it ready in the next few days.

Please install Version 1.3.2.8d

This version correctly calculates worst case exposure. Please make sure Include unmatched bets in liability is ticked.

Lovely thankyou. Its much appreciated. So just to clarify, i can click away as many times as i like and i shouldnt be able to go over the maximum liability i have set. Not that i will click like a mad man but to have the peace of mind i can only lose a certain amount if im wrong is perfect.

Yes. You can click like a mad man. It will still take a bet into account before it even hits Betfair's server.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
