how to copy 1 cell to another at time T

Postby dflowe » Mon Dec 23, 2024 12:52 pm

Hi guys, I came up with this cell code that copies 1 cell data to another and it seems to work even with a circular data warning, and puts a snapshot of cell 1 into cell 2. =IF($T$1<=2,0,IF($T$1=Q$25,F5,Q27))
But, I cannot use the data in cell 2 for any other purpose, it cannot be read into another cell or the data used in any calcs.
Am i wasting my time trying to get this to work and should I go down the VB route and if so can anyone help?
the task is to move f5- f10 to group 1 of cells at time T1, then repeat to group 2 at time T2, then repeat to group 3 at time T3 up to group 6 at t6

Hi, yeah I think you'll need VBA to record odds or any other live info. If you're new to VBA then it might be worth taking a crash course first, many available online. Or if you want to dive right in then maybe this is what you're after:

I've just looked at the code in those files for the first time and it isn't as simple as I thought. As usual there are more parameters to consider than you might expect for a simple task. Hopefully you can get those sheets working as intended, but if they don't meet your needs then I'm sorry I can't be of much help.

Thanks, I have tried the 2 for racing but they are rather too big for my needs but i may be able to learn from them lol
And of course I think they were written for the old version of software not the streamer version so today I will give 1 a run and set the bot back to request and set timings back to get results and see if i can do what I am thinking about....
thanks for looking

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
