I do find it sad that there are so many people with nothing better to do than have a pop at someone who is doing a thoroughly good job and is not in "competiton" with anyone else. It's quite simple, if you don't like it, don't use it. From my experience Gary has been extremely helpful and responds to any emails within minutes. I'm sure I'm one of many who is extemely impressed with what he's acheived and shared so far. For the rest of you I'm sure you have rocks to crawl back under!

Some folk cannot bring themselves to say, "Thank you" or, more importantly, "No thank you". If they are dubious about something they can't just walk away. They have to rubbish it in order to convince themselves that they've made the right decision. Half empty glasses spring to mind.

If you gave them a load of free money they'd complain 'cos you didn't provide something to carry it in!

You are so scared tha he's going to withdrawl the program...geesh...give it a break...you're ridiculous even more than people that criticize his job...

I wasn't referring to you but if you read through the whole thread you'll find several negative postings, all unnecessary imo.

Enjoy your day!

horselover777,

to check the version look inside Betfair Trader's folder and find a file called CurrentVersion.txt.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
