The trading function is good, but you do have to be careful. Fast changing odds just caught me out with Vicentio. Backed it at 2.96, it dropped sharply to show a nice lock in profit but after hitting the green button I suddenly found myself with a red. The price had moved out to 2.98 but the stake used was still as if it was at the smaller price, resulting in a red against Vicenzio but greens against all others. I traded out manually but had lost the green I had previously built up. Came out with nothing because Vicenzio won (typical) but no damage was done this time.

Thanks LayIt. I was using 90l. And now for a small request ... is it possible to have more preferences? I would like 'Verify Bets' off by default for instance. It would also be nice to store my username and password if I wanted so the pop-up login box filled in automatically at log in. People who don't want to use this feature could always leave the fields blank in the preferences.

Keep up the good work. Excellent stuff all round

TrueForm. Look out for the features you requested tomorrow. They shouldn't take long to implement.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
