hello all I ve been avidly reading all this thread and downloaded the software provided by Layit. It really looks cracking, i had in mind to buy something like X-Bot or Autobet but now i am not that sure!! I also have the scripts available from the same site..i ll give this a go for sure..

Now my questions are, where it says Price history i only see the nudges on each horse are black with flat lines slowly bobbing along that appear meaningless? why does it happen? is this the way is meant to be or what am i supposed to be seeing there? do i need an update of any kind?

Also with regards to in running trading i ve read you cast ideas like laying on several horses nearing the end making a profit or laying horses at 1.21, etc,i can t get my head quite around this yet can somebody explain to me some scenario? (another thickie )

Thanks all, (by the way i have the pre-release version 0.90o)

The price history box shows graphs of the price movements over time, (blue) for Back movements and (Pink) for Lay movements. Admittedly the size of the box means that they are not as clear to see; but with practice I find they are very informative :-
If in general the lines are moving upwards, then the horse is a drifter in the market, and vice versa.
The gap between the blue and pink lines gives a quick visual of whether there a wide spread between Back and Lay price.
Believe me, the more you use the program, the more you become familiar with the many excellent features.

I want it smaller because I want to have more than one programme viewable on the screen. Is that a good enough reason?

I have my resolution set at 800 x 600 so don't get to see all the available information. I had a look at a higher resolution and all the columns are visible as well as the bet manager at the bottom of the screen. However, everything gets a bit small too watch for long periods of time. (damn old age)

I guess it's all comes down to setting it up how you want it - not all the changes needed are ones to be done at Gary's level.

You can suppress the taskbar @800x600 res' so u can see the bet manager in the bottom frame.
Right click on the taskbar, click properties, unclick "keep taskbar on top of other windows", apply, ok....hope this helps somebody.

WombleOZ you seem to be getting around the problem I am having but I am not sure exactly how you do it. You say to drag columns across but when I do this each one I drag leaves a void or empty space. I must be dragging from the wrong side or something?

Could you possibly explain which is the first side of the column you should drag and how to get the others to then move up?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
