Quick query regarding the dutching facility.

If I select dutch bet when the button is green (for simplicity on a 2 horse race) and this counts down as per most in play events, what happens if one price moves during the count down and is then not matched.

Am i left in an open position with one bet on and matched and one waiting to be matched, if so there would be a good chance of losing money unless I am being a bit thick.

Great piece of software Layit, i wouldn't have a clue where to start, keep up the good work.

Ha... on the original version when you do the old "I wonder what this button does". ZAP!!! I'd backed 3 horses in race I had no interest in (before i pushed the button that is!). The 3 are still running!! Great programme though!

You're right about the green button and minimum stake by the way!

Good luck.

Welshy_ as far as I'm aware, the dutch bet only works when the money is available for all selections. Sometimes I've had to press it several times in order to get the bets on because of this.
I'm not 100% sure but I'm sure someone will confirm.

Musn't grumble, I understand that the dutch function only works when funds are available, what i'm after clarifying is if during a 5 second delay (like occurs in most in play events) all the funds are snapped up in one selection will it still place a bet on the selection that was available and place a request for the other bet to be matched, or does it automatically cancel both.

I definately agree with the calls for market %

The override odds is a great feature but i wonder if people could get caught leaving it checked after they got the bet they wanted it on - ie. forget to uncheck before the next bet

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
