Hello,

Does anyone have experience running BA on a 64-bit configuration (with a Xeon processor for example) with Windows 64-bit?

thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike
I run BA api version and Betfair trader under Windows 64 bits (with a AMD processor) no problems
I can not run the beta version because Microsoft.Net frame work can only run under windows 32.
Therfore i use a windows 32 bit emulation .

Have you tried the Beta version? It uses .Net 2.0 and there is a 64bit framework http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

I've no idea if it works as I have not attempted to support 64bit yet, but would be interested to know.

You can download the Beta version from http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Betting ... t_Beta.msi

Hi Gary
The beta version works well with the 64 bit framework.

Gary, will BA beta work with Vista Ultimate 64-bit?
Do the 64-bit users notice any down/up speed improvement?

Yes, it will work with Vista 64 bit. It won't make any difference to your internet speed though.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
