Auto level, Tick Offsett etc.

Postby Ken » Tue Aug 21, 2007 10:19 am

Hello, I am currently trialing the beta version. I cannot make the 'Auto Level' or' automatic green up at specified ticks' (I think this is what Tick Offset is) work for me.
I have tried the following after placing a lay bet, ticking 'Trading mode' and selecting the bet:
- Tick Auto Level (nothing else is ticked). No bets are submitted automatically even though the odds chagnge
- Specify Tick Offset at 2 ticks. With and without Auto Level also ticked. Nothing happens here either.
In each cse, I am able to manually green-up by clicking the Level Profit column.
I have tried this in football (where the market gets suspended sometimes) and tennis (where the market doesn't get suspended).
I must be doing somethig wrong. Can anyone tell me what it is?
The aim is to automatically green-up if the price changes by the specific ticks.
Thanks!
Ken

Tick offset and auto level do not work in conjunction with trading mode, trading mode is a separate thing altogether. There is an explanation of these functions in the help file at http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Betting ... p/help.htm under 'Betting Options'.

So, all I need to do is untick the trading mode and tick Auto Level and specify a tick offset. Thanks!

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
