Can England win the World Cup 2014 infographic

Ever since 1966, England’s first and only ever World Cup victory, there have been hopes of another win, but what are the chances of this happening again in 2014?

Regardless of the fact that no European team has ever won a World Cup hosted in South America, or the terrifying line-up of Italy and Uruguay at the group stages, many people, including Steven Gerrard, remain hopeful that England can win this summer.

The current odds for winning the competition stand at 33/1 which is a bit of a long shot, but not altogether impossible. However, in order to put things into perspective and to amplify the improbability of England winning, we decided to compare some unlikely odds that were on par with an England victory.
