Hi,
They now are saying that is a PLANNED maintenance. Betfair will be back at 14:00.

From Betfair:
"We're currently improving our site by carrying out planned maintenance work.
We're working to get the site back for 14:00 GMT."

Thats not unusual, because they communicate with their customers the same way that parents do with their two year olds.

Their I.T. team are truly incompetent. No such thing as planned maintenance at 2pm on Saturday...their problems from the other day have clearly not been fixed and it's creaking under the increased volume...absolutely amateurish.

From Betfair Customer Services

Betfair is currently experiencing some difficulties which may result in customers being unable to place bets. We are working hard to find a resolution and expect the site to be back in full service soon.

Betfair are no longer reporting any problems.
As always we recommend proceeding with caution this afternoon as there could be further problems.

Will BA auto login when BF turn the API back on, or do I need to restart it?

That will often be the case when the sites crashes. The API will take a little longer to come back on line.

If you were already logged in it should just carry on working.

Great.

It has to be API problems still, it's not BA. There are usually problems for many hours after a crash and we did put out a warning notice.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
