Betting Dividends Explained
A Dividend in betting terms is the amount returned on a winning Tote bet. This is declared in decimal odds and your stake is included in the return. For example, on a horse winning a race the Tote dividend may be 6.5. A £10 bet would return £65 giving a profit of £55. This is the equivalent to backing an 11/2 winner at traditional fractional odds. Our Betfair assistant is free to download.
