Dead Heat Explained

A Dead Heat happens when two (or more) winners are declared for an event. It is most commonly used in horse racing and greyhound racing, though is also very common in golf betting when you often get players tied on the same score. In a Dead Heat situation the rule is that half your stake wins and half your stake loses, so follow this process to work out how much any winning bet will be settled for.
