Thanks for the fixed beta version Gary, especially as you're supposed to be on leave. If you decide to have more children, can you arrange it so they're not born around the time Betfair are doing one of their 'upgrades' lol :D

Thanks for the beta upgrade Gary, I have noticed however that it does not remember when the top left hand cell reference is changed when logging prices to excel, many thanks if that could be addressed again at some point.

You must have been using the Beta version that is not on general release yet. See http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4992 for download link. Sorry, it is confusing, I will force an auto update in the near future so that everyone is using the same Beta.

Problems loading program

Postby oasis » Thu Sep 30, 2010 10:56 pm

Hi Gary,
I'm using W3 version,no problems loading markets,but while
using custom columns with odds offset .Last race at Kempton I clicked bet 1.03,which was matched, but the offset lay was @ 1.03 ,instead of 1.01 which it was set for. Was also using hide selections over a given price, everything else as standard. Will let you know if it happens again. Cheers,Sean.

It's a bug. Please upgrade to version 1.1.0.66x18. The bug does not exist in this version. Please uninstall and re-install from the link below.

Betting Assistant uses the API function getAllMarkets and unfortunately it is returning the wrong start times today. This is beyond our control, I have asked Betfair to fix it. To make matters worse you will see the correct time in other API products if they don't use this call. We use this call because it returns all markets in one call making the search function possible.

I'm getting the same issues, but at least the markets are loading now.

I have been advised by Betfair that it is unlikely to be solved until Monday. This simply isn't good enough. I shall speak to the API team on Monday when they are working.

ps. I have seen something like this before and it resolved itself probably because it affected something they couldn't ignore.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
