Setting a bet to be placed 30 second before the off.

Postby Keillen » Mon Aug 26, 2019 2:51 pm

Hello,

I am a new member to this forums and a new user.

My primary use for this software will be to select the bets i8n the morning and schedual them so BA will place the bets at the current odds 30 second before the off.

Is there any way to do this? If so how would i go about it..

Thanks.

You'll need to use the excel features and also remember you can only place the bet 30 seconds form the scheduled off as many races go off late.

There's a sample sheet where you can list the horses you want to bet on. You just need to tweak the trigger so it looks at the cell D2 where the time to the off goes. Have a look at the excel functions and test out the sheet to see if it's close to what you're looking for, there's probably quite a few threads around showing how to bet via excel at certain times

Yes its on dogs anyway so normally only 30-90 seconds late from the off time.

I think im going to have to take a look.

Will i be able to scheduled this for dogs throughout the day?

Yes , the spreadsheet will just cycle thru whatever marets you want to stick in the quickpick list, you can even reload new markets at midnight or whenever by adding extra code so it'll run 24/7. Only problem you may encounter is if two races are due off at the same time as the will jump to the last of the two if you use the auto selct markets feature of the program. If that causes problems you can always code the excel sheet to cycle markets one at a time. All really depends on how skilled you are with excel if you want to make the most of the excel linking

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
