Price Streaming

With Price Streaming turned on the software will ask the Betfair API server to send the price data as and when it changes for the markets that you have open.

The Stream data is cached and prices updated in the software display at the refresh rate that you have set.

However, there is an option to use "Full Stream" which can be selected from Betting Options.

When Full Stream is on the software will not use the refresh rate but instead will update the prices on screen as and when they change in the stream.

So when you have Full Stream on and the market is not very active there may be seconds or even minutes between refreshes if nothing has changed, but conversely if the market is very active such as an in play horse race then you will see the prices updating rapidly even more quickly than is possible using the traditional polling method.

In General Preferences there is an option to set Full Stream on by default which applies when the software is opened.

If you want to use "Full Stream" but find that the prices update too quickly in the display in fast moving markets then there is a setting in Throttling Options called 'conflation' where you can set a time period in ms to aggregate the incoming data.

If the connection to Price Streaming is lost the PS indicator in the Info Bar will turn red.

The software will try to reconnect after 5 seconds during which time the software will attempt to poll for the prices.
